The PU Sidewall Belt is a specialized design engineered to hold, lift, and transport bulk or loose materials along inclined paths or through multi-level transfer points. With its convenient structure and high durability, this belt is an ideal solution for production lines that require stable material flow control, minimized spillage, and optimized operational efficiency.

Structure of the PU Sidewall Belt

The belt consists of the following components:

PU Belt

Made from high-quality polyurethane, offering excellent tensile strength, flexibility, and resistance to oil and grease. PU is non-toxic, easy to clean, and suitable for food processing, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and certain light chemical operations.

Cleats

Cleats (or flights) are fixed crosswise barriers that form holding compartments on the belt surface. They increase friction, prevent backsliding on steep inclines, and support Z-type or L-type conveyor configurations. Cleats can be straight, angled, or tray-shaped depending on the transport requirement.

Sidewalls

Flexible PU sidewalls run along both belt edges to prevent materials from spilling during elevation. Sidewalls are especially useful for loose products, small items, or steep-angle conveying.

The combination of PU belt, cleats, and sidewalls ensures stable transport on steep inclines, reduces spillage, and maximizes volumetric throughput per cycle.

Operational Guidelines

Daily Operation

Monitor belt tension and noise levels, avoid overloading, and apply slow start/stop settings.

Cleaning

Use neutral detergents and soft brushes, avoid corrosive chemicals, and prevent high-pressure spraying on joints or bonded areas.

Maintenance

Inspect weekly/monthly/quarterly, monitor joints, cleats, sidewalls, pulleys, bearings, and motors. Replace worn cleats or sidewalls early to prevent extended damage.
